THE AIR FRYER SERIES: VEGAN CINNAMON SUGAR DONUT HOLES
I didn’t know I needed these in my life until now.
I recently just got an air fryer for Christmas and it is one of the most helpful appliances I can recommend to all you college students. I got mine from DASH appliances and it is the compact size so you can just store it on top of your dresser or desk in your dorm room! I’ve made sweet potato fries, cooked veggies, grilled cheezes, cauliflower buffalo wings, DONUTS and much more in this thing. This appliance is very affordable as well, I would say it’s a must in college to help keep your meals interesting and healthy with the no oil needed for cooking!
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
DONUT DOUGH
1 1/2 cup GF flour (I use Robs Red Mill All Purpose 1:1)
1 cup dairy free yogurt (thick consistency, I used Cocoyo Probiotic Yogurt)
1/3 cup oat milk
2 tsp cinnamon
3 tsp coconut sugar
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
1/4 tsp vanilla
SUGAR COATING
Mix in 3 tbsp cinnamon & 3 tbsp coconut sugar in a shallow bowl and set aside.
FOR THE FROSTING
1/3 cup vegan cream cheese (I use Kite Hill)
1/4 cup melted coconut oil or butter
1/3 cup powdered monk fruit sweetener (remember, monk fruit sweetener is a natural sweetener that is 2x sweeter than regular powdered sugar so add cautiously and taste to your liking)
Dash of pure vanilla extract
3 tbsp of oat milk
METHOD
Combine all of the dough ingredients in a bowl. If it’s too dry, add more oat milk.
Roll dough into balls and roll in sugar coating. Once you’ve made all your donut balls, put them in your air fryer for 6 minutes at 370F. I sprayed the bottom of my air fryer with some oil so they wouldn’t stick.
After they are done frying, drizzle a bit of the cream cheese frosting on top.
Make sure you tag me in your posts if you recreate these delicious donuts so I can share your creations with everyone!! I have linked all the products mentioned in this post.
